Privacy Policy (Kundak)
Last updated: September 2026
Kundak ("we", "the app") is a baby tracking app that lets you keep sleep, feeding, diaper, and growth records within the household you share with your family. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE OR ADVICE: Kundak is a personal assistant tool for tracking baby care records and is not a medical device. Responses generated by AI, including the Buddy chat feature, are for informational purposes only and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any health condition. Always consult a healthcare professional for decisions about your baby's health.
1. Data We Collect
1.1 Account and profile
- Sign-in: When you create an account or sign in with Google or Apple, we receive an identifier, email, and your name depending on the provider.
- Profile: We store your name, an optional profile photo, and your language/timezone preferences.
1.2 Baby and household records
- Baby profile: We store information such as your baby's name, birth date, and gender.
- Tracking records: We store everything you enter, such as sleep, feeding, diaper changes, growth measurements (height, weight, head circumference), and fever/medicine/vaccine records. This data is used to show your daily summary, statistics, and history.
- Household sharing: If you invite your partner, caregiver, or family members into a household, everyone in that household can see the same baby records and who logged what and when.
1.3 Buddy (AI chat)
- When you ask Buddy a question, by default only your baby's name and age are sent to our AI services. These services process the data only to generate a response; they do not use it to train their models.
- To share other record types with Buddy, such as sleep, feeding, diaper changes, or growth, you must turn on that sharing yourself in the app settings. No record type is sent to Buddy without your permission.
1.4 Device and app usage
- Notifications: We store your device notification permission and, when needed, a push token so we can send reminders for feeding, diaper changes, and medicine. You can turn off notifications from your device or app settings.
- Invitations: When you send or accept a household invitation, we store the relevant information (e.g. email) needed to match the invitation.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Providing the service: To let you keep and share sleep, feeding, diaper, and growth records with your household. Kundak does not provide medical advice or clinical services.
- Buddy: To answer your questions based on your records (e.g. "has the sleep pattern changed this week?").
- Personalization: To show reminders and summaries.
- Subscriptions: To manage Premium features and subscriptions (via RevenueCat and app stores). We do not sell your personal data.
3. Legal Basis (EU/UK)
Where applicable, we process your data under the following bases:
- Contract: To fulfill our obligations to provide the Kundak services and features you request.
- Consent: Where we ask for consent (push notifications, camera/photo library).
- Legitimate interests: To improve the app, security, and support, to the extent this does not override your rights.
You can withdraw your consent (revoking permissions or turning off notifications) at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
4. Who We Share Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We only share data as follows:
- Service providers: We use Supabase (authentication, database, storage) and RevenueCat (subscription management). These providers process data on our behalf under strict contracts.
- Buddy: The records relevant to your question are sent to our AI services to generate a response.
- Sign-in: If you sign in with Google or Apple, these providers receive the sign-in request and may share limited profile data based on your consent.
- Your household: When you join a household, the records you enter can be seen by other members of that household.
- Legal: We may disclose data where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
- We keep your account and data for as long as your account is active.
- You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app settings or by contacting our support email.
- When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data in accordance with our retention and backup procedures, except where we are required to keep it for legal reasons.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:
- Access to your personal data.
- Correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion of your data or account.
- Restriction or objection to certain processing.
- Data portability (a copy of your data in a common format).
- Withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.
- Complaint to a supervisory authority (e.g. in the EU).
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption, access controls, and secure infrastructure) to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; we recommend using a strong password and keeping your device secure.
8. Children
Kundak is a parent/caregiver app that keeps baby and child records on behalf of parents or guardians. You (as the parent/guardian) enter your baby's information into the app. Age limits for account ownership are set by the relevant App Store and Google Play policies.
9. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required by law, we put in place appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalents).
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will publish the current text in the app or on our website and will ask for your consent or notify you where required. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept the current policy.
